There are many benefits of eating garlic as it contains allicin which can aid digestion and is also highly nutritious with a low calorific content.
It contains vitamin C, B6, Selenium and has a high fibre content.
But when it is taken in combination with lemon juice it's benefits are greatly magnified especially with regard to the heart and blood system. It helps to keep your arteries healthy, reduces blood pressure and lowers cholesterol.
I take it in powdered form which you can buy in capsules in which the smell and taste of garlic is removed. Every day first thing in the morning I put the contents of a capsule into a small glass then add the juice of half a lemon. Sweeten to taste with a teaspoon of honey and top up with hot water.
Next time you have a blood test you will likely see an improvement in the ratio of your good (HDL) and bad (LDL) cholesterol levels.
